She started her career in 1998 with US Bank, Bend, Oregon, as a Branch Manager and served this role for over six years.

In this role, Sonja Lenore Haaby was responsible for maintaining and ensuring that the branch operations were in compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. Additionally, she made sure that customer service and sales standards were being met. Some of her other core responsibilities included –

• Human Resource Management: scheduling and supervising personnel
• Auditing and Reconciling various areas of operations, such as - Cashier’s checks, money orders, general ledger accounts, traveler’s checks and proof of teller work.

Besides that, Sonja provided valuable services to clients’ such as loans, lines of credit, checking and saving accounts, annuities, and life insurance for both business and personal clients. She was also responsible for building and maintaining a book of business through establishing relationships with clients.
